The city of Kennedy houses the Kittson Central Elementary School of District #2171. Home of the Bearcats--some of the 7&8 grade Volleyball games, some of the Boys Basketball games and all the Baseball games are played on the Kennedy campus.
School District #2171 is the consolidation of Hallock, Humboldt and Kennedy school districts. The school district can simply boast of consistently having some of the highest test scores in the State of Minnesota. We feel the quality of education here is top notch.
All the sports programs are cooperated with Lancaster Public Schools under the mascot of "Bearcats".
