Need
information on the city of Kennedy...
In some circles, "5 will get you 10." But, here in Kennedy, we're hoping "50 will give 100." We are on a mission to finish paying for the Community Garden benches, buy materials and build a shelter and picnic tables, plant a few more trees, build a financial reserve for next spring's planting, and, hopefully, have enough money left over to provide a job next summer to a local child. We are asking you, or you and your family, or you and your class, or you and your social group, or you and your church, or you and your neighbors to donate $100 to the Kennedy Community Garden. Some individuals and families have already contributed. The class of '67 has, to date, donated $370. Won't you please join in? Make your checks out to the "Kennedy Community Garden" and mail them to me at the city office (P.O. Box 7) just as soon as you can. Let's work together to keep a good thing going.
The Community Garden is a wonderful spot to enjoy; whether it be resting or relaxing. The garden is very calming. Click here to view more pictures.
Thanks for stopping to take a virtual tour of Kennedy. Our city is full of pride and rich in history. The city was formed in 1889. Kennedy is located in the rich soils of the Red River Valley. It was home to one of the largest bonanza farms of the 1900s--Kiene Farms. Kennedy is a unique little town and you can see this from the time you drive into town and stop at the local cafe or shop in the area's largest antique store. You will be greeted by friendly people and big hearts. Please enjoy our site and come to visit again. For all you locals--set this up as a favorite or bookmark to keep informed of all the happenings within the city!!
